Poor Things are (in alphabetical order by surname – the only fair way) Craig Angus, Gavin Redford, Richard Stratton.

The self-titled debut album ‘Poor Things’ was recorded at Yard 52 in Glasgow with Matthew Scott between November 2013 and January 2014.

Here’s the acceptance speech.

We would like to thank Matt for being absolutely excellent, a brilliant engineer and dude. Those 10 days were some seriously fun times.

Andrew Dyce for ‘believing in us’, for all the time he’s given up to help out 3 bozos achieve a dream. This probably wouldn’t have happened without you man, or it might have happened but we’d probably have forgotten to record the vocals or something. Da best.

Our families who bestowed us with instruments before we were old enough to even do a paper round, encouraged us to play them, let us practice in your garage came to our terrible gigs when we were 14… thank you isn’t enough. If we can sell one of these songs to Vodafone we’ll reward you properly for your efforts.

Marc Johansen of Sothko, inc for doing all of our artwork, taking pictures of us, making the coffee and being a strong male role model.

All the great bands who we’ve played with, hung out with, it’s a pleasure to be associated with you.
